Berlin police investigate suspected murder of woman in Prenzlauer Berg
Police in Berlin are investigating the death of 46-year-old Ilse Hartmann, whose body was discovered in a shrubbery near the Zeiss-Großplanetarium in the Prenzlauer Berg district. Authorities have classified the case as a suspected homicide.
A passerby found the body on a Friday morning in a narrow green space near the S-Bahn tracks. Investigators believe the body had been there for several days or possibly weeks. The victim was described as slim, approximately 1.70 meters tall, and was wearing a brown sweatshirt, a brown T-shirt, striped shorts, and brown sandals.
The 4th Homicide Commission of the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) has taken over the investigation. Police have released a photo of Hartmann and are appealing to the public for information regarding her last known whereabouts or anyone who may have seen her in the area.
