Berlin politician Martha Kleedörfer criticizes conservative journalists

Martha Kleedörfer, a member of the Berlin Die Linke party, has criticized several conservative journalists on social media, specifically targeting Harald Martenstein of Bild. In an Instagram post, Kleedörfer questioned why individuals such as Martenstein, Ulf Poschardt, and Jan Fleischhauer are permitted to present what she describes as “misogynistic agitation” as journalism.

The dispute follows a previous controversy in which Martenstein questioned whether women expressing solidarity with Palestine, such as Kleedörfer, might overlook misogyny within Islamist movements. Kleedörfer has previously referred to Bild as “the largest hate sheet in the Federal Republic of Germany” and has advocated for its expropriation.

Kleedörfer has recently focused her political presence on strengthening ties between her party and Arab voter groups, centering her campaign on solidarity with Palestine.
