Berlin prepares for diverse 2026 winter festivities
Berlin is set to host a variety of seasonal events and attractions during the 2026 winter period. The Hotel Adlon Kempinski will transform into a festive winter world starting in late November, featuring gospel concerts on its balcony overlooking Pariser Platz, advent brunches, and themed menus.
Cultural and family-oriented entertainment includes the return of the musical ‘Die Weihnachtsbäckerei’ at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz, featuring the songs of Rolf Zuckowski. For outdoor activities, the Tierpark Berlin will host its seventh season of ‘Christmas in the Tierpark’ from November 20, 2026, to January 9, 2027, offering a two-kilometer illuminated walk, an ice rink, and light installations.
Additionally, the Lichtenberger Winterzeit winter market at Landsberger Allee will open on October 31. As the city’s largest winter market, it features approximately 80 attractions, including the 45-meter-high ‘Azure Circle’ Ferris wheel and an 85-meter free-fall tower. The market also includes a community betting initiative to support local social institutions.
