Berlin-set sci-fi series ‘City of Blood’ trailer released

Hulu and Disney+ have released the trailer for ‘City of Blood’, a German sci-fi horror mini-series set in a dystopian future Berlin. Based on the graphic novel ‘Berlinoir’ by Reinhard Kleist and Tobias O. Meißner, the eight-episode series is scheduled to premiere on September 16, 2026.

The story depicts a city divided by climate change, where a wealthy elite resides within a climate-controlled dome while those outside face extreme heat, crime, and corruption. The plot follows two sisters, Bea and Phoebe, who reunite to uncover a conspiracy involving vampires attempting to seize political power in a society where blood has become a primary currency.

Created and directed by Philipp Kadelbach, the series features a cast including Lea Drinda, Soma Pysall, and Lars Eidinger. The production is handled by Amusement Park Film.
