Berlin-Spandau hosts volunteer trial day for World Senior Citizens Day

In observance of World Senior Citizens Day on October 1, district senior facilities in Berlin-Spandau are hosting a trial day for prospective volunteers. Established by the United Nations in 1990, the day aims to honor the contributions of older individuals and raise awareness regarding issues such as elderly poverty and loneliness.

Interested individuals are invited to gain insight into volunteer work for several hours at one of four locations: Seniorenklub Lindenufer, Seniorentreff Freudstraße, Seniorentreff Maulbeerallee, or the Seniorenwohnhaus ‘An der Spekte’. Participation requires prior registration with the respective facility management.
