Berlin startups Finmid and hexafarms secure new funding rounds

Berlin-based fintech Finmid, founded by former N26 executives, has raised a €17 million Series A extension round. The funding, led by Big Pi Ventures and Mainset, brings the startup's total raised to €52 million. Finmid provides white-label embedded lending services and has secured a deal with Estonian ride-hailing firm Bolt to provide multi-year vehicle financing for fleet operators.

In the AgTech sector, Berlin-based hexafarms has closed a €4.8 million seed funding round led by Ananda Impact Ventures and Green Generation Fund. The company utilizes AI, wireless sensors, and autonomous robots to monitor greenhouse conditions and detect crop diseases. hexafarms plans to expand its technology across the DACH region, Benelux, and Spain.
