Berlin suffers two arson attacks on refugee shelter and school
Around 23:15 on Tuesday night, a fire broke out on the façade of a refugee communal accommodation on Albert‑Kuntz‑Straße in Berlin‑Hellersdorf. The on‑site security service extinguished the flames and police reported no injuries. The incident is being investigated by the State Security unit of the Landeskriminalamt.
In a separate incident on the night of Tuesday, unknown perpetrators forced entry onto a school campus on Teltower Damm in Zehlendorf. They removed sports equipment from a shed, placed it in a long‑jump pit, set it alight and scattered toilet paper across the grounds. The damage amount is still unclear. A dedicated fire‑investigation commission of the Landeskriminalamt is handling the case.
