Berlin to host Long Night of Museums with crime theme
The 44th edition of the Long Night of Museums in Berlin is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026. The event will feature 75 museums, exhibition halls, planetariums, and memorial sites remaining open from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
The theme for the 2026 event is ‘Crime in Berlin,’ offering approximately 750 appointments focused on historical mysteries, art theft, secret archives, and criminal cases. Activities include tours, workshops, concerts, lectures, and interactive experiences.
Specific highlights include an interactive ‘escape case’ investigation at the Museum of Communication, a program exploring the link between Hollywood and crime at the Samurai Museum, and access to political police archives at the former Stasi-Zentrale. A single ticket, starting at 23 euros, includes shuttle services.
