Berlin's Fête de la Musique offers 200+ free performances and a new lakeside bike tour
The annual Fête de la Musique takes place across Berlin on 21 June 2026, with more than 200 free musical events. In Berlin‑Mitte the Philharmonie opens its doors for concerts, workshops and family activities, while the Center at Potsdamer Platz and the Hansa‑Bibliothek at Hansaplatz host live music and dance acts.
In the Reinickendorf district, a new bike route circles Tegeler See, linking several outdoor stages. Cyclists can ride on paved paths, board a ferry to cross the lake and enjoy concerts ranging from piano and jazz to funk, soul and psych‑rock. The tour highlights Berlin’s natural scenery alongside the music, offering pauses for water breaks, swimming spots and shaded rest areas.
Both programmes emphasize free, open‑air access, encouraging residents and visitors to explore the city’s diverse musical landscape while promoting sustainable, climate‑friendly mobility.
