Berlucchi rebrands Vintage Nature line in Franciacorta
Berlucchi, a prominent winery in the Franciacorta region, has rebranded its essential line from Berlucchi ’61 Nature to Berlucchi Vintage Nature. This strategic shift aims to provide greater clarity for international markets regarding the wines' vintage characteristics and the absence of dosage.
The new identity reflects a long-term transition toward regenerative viticulture and organic certification led by the second generation of the Ziliani family. The Vintage Nature line focuses on the purity of the fruit through limited extraction of noble must fractions and extended aging on lees.
Production under this label is strictly tied to annual quality; if a vintage does not meet specific standards, production volumes are reduced or the release is cancelled entirely. Cristina Ziliani noted that the new name was intended to be more understandable globally, specifically highlighting the value of the vintage and the long aging process.
