Bermaz Auto Asia assumes operations of Mazda C5 Pasig
Bermaz Auto Asia has assumed management and operations of the Mazda C5 Pasig dealership in the Philippines following the conclusion of a dealership agreement with Inchcape Philippines on July 31, 2026. Bermaz Auto Asia is an associated company of Bermaz Auto Philippines, the official distributor for the brand in the country.
Mazda Philippines President and CEO Steven Tan stated that the transition aims to strengthen the ownership journey through personalized service and long-term commitment. The C5 Pasig facility is the brand’s first Philippine dealership to utilize a ‘Japanese Premium’ showroom concept, inspired by the Mazda Takadanobaba facility in Tokyo.
In a broader strategic context, Mazda Philippines has maintained profitability by shifting its focus toward the premium vehicle segment. According to Tan, the company’s average transaction price has doubled over the last decade, rising from approximately P 1.2 million to P 2.4 million. This pivot toward higher-end models, such as the CX-60 and MX-5, has served as a buffer against competition from Chinese brands that primarily operate in segments below P 2 million. The company plans to introduce more high-end models, including potential plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs).
