Bermuda cyclists win two silver medals in Belize

Bermuda’s junior cyclists secured two silver medals during the opening individual time trials of the 2026 Caribbean Junior Road Cycling Championships in Belize.

In the 15-kilometre Juvenile Men’s event, Dylan Eiselt earned silver with a time of 21:23.72, finishing behind Belize’s Ahmaad Cherrington. Teammate Jens Drea finished fourth. In the 20-kilometre Junior Men’s time trial, Jacob Wright claimed Bermuda’s second silver medal with a time of 26:44.95, following the regional victory by Ryan Thompson of the Cayman Islands.

Peter Dunne, President of the Bermuda Bicycle Association, expressed pride in the riders' performances. The championships proceed to road races, with Wright and Keon Stevens competing in the Junior Men’s category, while Eiselt, Drea, and Jonah MacGuinness contest the Juvenile Men’s event.
