Bermuda Department of Culture to host youth-focused event

The Bermuda Department of Culture will host a special youth edition of its annual Cultural Connect stakeholder event this Saturday, August 22, at Pig’s Field in Pembroke. Running from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the free community event aims to bring together young people, families, and community groups to celebrate the island's culture.

The program features musical performances by Aalai, Fire Wayne, and H&H Gombeys, with music by DJ Mico and hosting by Mr. Fotogenik. While the event traditionally serves as an annual stakeholder meeting, this edition focuses on providing the next generation with a space to engage and help shape Bermuda’s cultural future.

Activities include crafts and activity stations led by the Bermuda National Library and The Office of Youth Affairs (TOYA). Attendees can also access food such as hamburgers, hotdogs, popcorn, and snowballs while supplies last.
