Bern Police release images of suspects in Cup Final pyrotechnics case

The Bern Cantonal Police have released blurred images as part of a public manhunt for four suspects involved in pyrotechnic incidents during the 2025 Cup Final. The individuals are strongly suspected of igniting hand flares and firecrackers within the stadium crowd, an act that endangered bystanders and risked serious injury.

Following an investigation that included the analysis of video footage, authorities identified four suspects but have been unable to determine their identities despite intensive search efforts. The Bern-Mittelland Public Prosecutor's Office has ordered the publication of these blurred images to solicit public assistance. If no leads are provided within one week, the images will be released in an unblurred format on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
