Bernadette Azucena wins AED 20 million Big Ticket grand prize

Bernadette Azucena, a Filipina resident of Ajman, has won the AED 20 million grand prize in the Big Ticket Series 291 live draw held in Abu Dhabi. Azucena, a 42-year-old former secretary, was asleep in the Philippines when organizers attempted to contact her during the live broadcast. She learned of the win via a video call from her husband, who works in the UAE.

The jackpot will be shared among a group of 22 people who have been playing Big Ticket together since 2017. Under their arrangement, group members take turns selecting tickets under their own names. Azucena expressed her intention to use her share of the prize to pay off her mortgage in the Philippines.

Other winners in the Series 291 draw included Waseem Khan, who won a Nissan Patrol, and several Indian nationals who shared consolation prizes totaling Dh1.95 million.
