Bernardo Quintana road closures in Querétaro for Mexico‑Querétaro train

Starting July 13, the central lanes of boulevard Bernardo Quintana in Querétaro were closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. to accommodate the federal Mexico‑Querétaro train project. Additional intermittent 10‑minute closures were imposed near Calzada de Los Arcos, with traffic redirected to Avenida Zaragoza and a temporary detour at the below‑grade bridge of Avenida Universidad.

State Mobility Agency director Gerardo Cuanalo Santos said the measures have reduced vehicle flow on the boulevard by about 25 % but have produced 10‑11 minute delays for private drivers and the Qrobus system, which continues to run its 55 units serving more than 30 000 daily riders. Municipal Mobility Secretary Pedro Ángeles Luján urged drivers to plan trips in advance, respect signage, avoid stopping to watch the works, and use navigation apps such as Waze or Google Maps for alternate routes.

Despite the disruptions, the Qrobus routes (T02, T13, C57 and C63) remain unchanged, and officials indicated the closures may last several days while the train infrastructure is built.
