Bernardo Redín appointed head coach of Ecuador's Técnico Universitario

Colombian coach Bernardo Redín took charge of Técnico Universitario on 29 June, marking the start of a new era for the Ambato‑based club. In his first media interview he said the team’s ambition to earn a spot in an international competition motivated him to accept the role.

Redín praised the squad’s commitment, intensity and willingness to work, and said his priority will be building a cohesive identity and a playing style that reflects the club’s character. He also appealed for strong support from the fans throughout the upcoming challenges.
