Bernexpo launches efficiency program and staff reductions

Bernexpo AG has launched a comprehensive optimization and efficiency program following its first full year of operating the Festhalle. The company's board of directors intends to review organization, processes, and service offerings to improve economic efficiency and long-term stability.

As part of this review, the company determined that current staffing levels are too high for its operational needs, leading to planned job cuts. These adjustments will be implemented in compliance with labor laws. Despite these changes, Bernexpo reports that its core business remains stable, with a well-filled order book for 2026 and 2027.
