Bernhard Brink announces retirement from stage in 2027

German singer Bernhard Brink has announced that he will retire from the stage in 2027. The 74-year-old performer, known by the self-given nickname ‘Schlagertitan’, shared his plans during the talk show ‘Riverboat’.

Brink explained that his nickname originated from a sense of self-irony in 2008, inspired by the media labels ‘Poptitan’ for Dieter Bohlen and ‘Torwarttitan’ for Oliver Kahn. While he initially feared backlash for the title, it eventually became his permanent moniker.

To mark his departure, Brink plans to embark on a farewell tour and will release a final studio album titled ‘Danke für die Zeit’ on May 14, 2027.
