Beroun bypass project faces delays and funding concerns
Residents of Beroun have identified the completion of the town's bypass as a primary priority for local leadership. The project consists of multiple stages involving different municipalities.
According to Beroun Deputy Mayor Michal Mišina, the Southern Parallel Communication section from OMV toward Králův Dvůr is finished. The construction deadline for this portion has been extended to November 10, 2029. The city has completed its project documentation and intends to hand it over to the Regional Road Administration and Maintenance (KSÚS) in June 2025 for implementation.
Petr Vychodil, the Mayor of Králův Dvůr, confirmed that the first two parts of the Králův Dvůr bypass are complete. However, he expressed skepticism regarding the third part, stating that the municipality stopped pursuing it because they believe it will never be built, citing missed opportunities to secure funding through subsidies.
