Bershka unveils new store concept in Spain ahead of US launch

Bershka, the youth‑focused Inditex subsidiary, has completed a renovation of its flagship store on Plaza de Lugo in La Coruña, Spain. The 710‑square‑metre, two‑floor space now features self‑checkout lanes, a dedicated area for picking up and returning online orders, and a modular interior built from rounded concrete blocks, wood and stainless‑steel partitions to create smaller, more intimate zones.

The redesign serves as a testbed for concepts that the brand plans to roll out as it prepares to open its first two physical stores in the United States in 2026, a move announced by Inditex CEO Óscar García Maceiras. Bershka aims to demonstrate that brick‑and‑mortar locations remain strategically important for reaching young consumers.
