Bertelsmann launches Riverty Bank in Luxembourg

Bertelsmann has officially launched Riverty Bank S.A. in Luxembourg, expanding the international media and services group's presence in the region. The move is led by Riverty, Bertelsmann's fintech division.

The inauguration ceremony included Bertelsmann CEO Thomas Rabe and Luxembourg's Finance Minister Gilles Roth, alongside Claude Marx, Director General of the CSSF. The new financial institution is intended to serve as a European gateway for merchants, facilitating the development of collaborative financial products.

Thomas Rabe noted that Luxembourg's position at the heart of the European single market, which serves approximately 450 million consumers, provides ideal conditions for the bank. Bertelsmann has maintained business operations in Luxembourg for over 40 years, including through the RTL Group.
