Bertinoro announces fifth Dante Arfelli literary prize

The fifth edition of the ‘Dante Arfelli – Città di Bertinoro’ literary prize has been announced. Organized by the Municipality of Bertinoro and the publisher Reader for Blind, the competition is dedicated to the works of the writer Dante Arfelli.

This year, the prize features a single category for unpublished novels. The competition is open to both Italian and foreign writers, provided the works are written in Italian. Participants must submit their entries by December 31, 2026, and a registration fee of 30 euros is required. The winner will receive a 350 euro cash prize, a commemorative plaque, and a collection of books, with the opportunity to have their work published by the organizing publisher within 18 months of the award.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for February 28, 2027, at the Bertinoro Town Hall. A jury composed of national editorial directors, writers, journalists, and local cultural figures will select the winner.
