João Pessoa implements school patrol programs for community prevention

The Municipal Urban Security and Citizenship Secretariat (Semusb), through the Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM), is conducting continuous 'Ronda Escolar' (School Patrol) activities in João Pessoa. This initiative aims to strengthen ties between the police force and the school community through prevention, guidance, and educational activities for students and staff.

To foster a culture of peace and trust, the program utilizes interactive methods such as puppet theater to teach children and adolescents about respect, citizenship, violence prevention, and social responsibility. According to Secretary João Almeida, the program focuses on forming conscious citizens and building community trust through education.

In a separate incident in Bertioga, the Municipal Civil Guard arrested individuals involved in the theft and receiving of aluminum structures. One suspect admitted to stealing aluminum from a residential condominium and selling it to a local scrap yard, leading to the arrest of both the thief and the merchant for theft and qualified receiving.
