Bertín Osborne cancels Chamberí concert due to ongoing respiratory problems
Spanish singer Bertín Osborne has cancelled his scheduled performance at the Fiestas de Nuestra Señora del Carmen in the Chamberí district of Madrid. Municipal authorities announced the cancellation after doctors warned that his persistent respiratory difficulties, stemming from a recent pneumonia and lingering effects of long COVID, make singing unsafe. Osborne’s representative, Susana Uribarri, confirmed that he continues to experience shortness of breath and excess phlegm, and that his oxygen saturation remains low. The district communicated the decision to residents via its WhatsApp channel and an official statement, expressing disappointment but emphasizing the medical necessity. No new concert date has been set while Osborne focuses on recovery.
