Besançon police arrest two suspects in attempted murder of teenager

A 17-year-old adolescent is in critical condition after being stabbed twice, once in the thorax and once in the thigh, in Besançon. The victim was discovered by a motorist lying in a pool of blood on a public road; the driver reportedly left the victim in front of the hospital emergency department before fleeing the scene.

Medical staff at the CHU Jean-Minjoz provided urgent care, and while the victim remains under observation, his life is no longer considered to be in immediate danger. Following an investigation by the anti-crime brigade, two men, aged 15 and 27, were arrested. They are currently in custody as part of an investigation into attempted murder.
