The Ministry of Economy and Labor in North Macedonia marked the annual European Week for Occupational Safety and Health. During the event, National Awards were presented to companies for implementing the best occupational safety and health systems.

Minister of Economy and Labor Besar Durmishi emphasized that workplace safety is a fundamental right and a matter of human dignity rather than just a legal obligation. He noted that while technological advancement and digitalization offer economic growth, they also introduce new challenges, specifically regarding psychosocial risks, stress, and the impact of modern work processes on mental health.

The event was organized by the Council for Occupational Safety and Health with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) under a project funded by the European Union. Participants included representatives from state institutions, employers' organizations, trade unions, and the EU Delegation.
