Besiktas makes move for Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin

Besiktas has made a late move to sign Belgian midfielder Nicolas Raskin from Rangers. While no agreement has been reached between the clubs, the Turkish side's approach comes as the transfer window remains open for them until Friday.

Raskin has been the subject of significant transfer speculation, having reportedly desired a move for several months. Rangers have previously rejected offers that did not meet their £20m valuation. The midfielder has recently been absent from the matchday squad, a move described by club officials as protecting the player ahead of a potential sale.

Rangers manager Derek McInnes has praised Raskin’s professionalism and training conduct despite the ongoing interest. McInnes noted that while conversations with prospective buyers have occurred, the club must wait for formal offers to consider. Commentator Chris Sutton suggested that Raskin remaining at Ibrox could become an “embarrassing” situation for the club if a move does not materialize.
