Beskydská sedmička ultramarathon to host 3,000 runners and President Petr Pavel
The 17th edition of the IMOS Beskydská sedmička ultramarathon is set to begin on August 28 in Třinec. The 101-kilometer race, featuring 5,500 meters of elevation gain, will host 3,000 runners from 14 different countries. Czech President Petr Pavel is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony at the STARS athletics stadium. This year marks a structural change for the event, as it will transition to an individual-only competition, moving away from the previous duo category.
In separate running news, the 24th Běh na Svatý Hostým concluded with Pavel Dvořák winning the men's race in 23 minutes and 16 seconds, while Linda Mrázková took first place in the women's category with a time of 27 minutes and 33 seconds.
