Bessy Argyraki discusses unfulfilled musical career shift

Singer Bessy Argyraki discussed her musical career during an interview on the ERTnews program ‘Enas kai Enas’. She revealed a past desire to transition from modern pop and contemporary music toward a more traditional Greek ‘entechno’ repertoire.

Argyraki explained that this shift never occurred due to the industry practices of the time, noting that record companies tended to categorize artists into specific musical boxes. She stated that she remained within the ‘modern’ category because that is where her label placed her. She also credited her producer with guiding her career, noting that the professional relationship and the company's strategic direction kept her within her established genre. Despite her success with various covers and songs, she expressed a lingering interest in performing more entechno music.
