Betard Sparta Wrocław loses PGE Ekstraliga final

Betard Sparta Wrocław has lost the PGE Ekstraliga final to PRES Grupa Deweloperska. After losing the first match in Toruń 35:55, the Wrocław-based team failed to recover in the second leg, ultimately losing 44:46.

Three-time Polish champion Zbigniew Lech commented on the loss, noting that while the club is well-managed and financially stable, the team struggled to secure the title. He suggested that despite having a strong roster, including players like Artem Laguta and Daniel Bewley, the team has faced difficulty winning decisive matches in recent years. Since 2015, Sparta has reached the finals seven times, winning only once in 2021.
