Bethesda announces World Pets update for Fallout 76
During the 2026 Fallout Day celebrations, Bethesda announced the ‘World Pets’ update for Fallout 76, scheduled for release on December 1, 2026. This update will allow players to take pets such as dogs, cats, Radroaches, and Deathclaws into the wasteland as active companions rather than keeping them confined to player bases.
These pets will feature a leveling and skill system, allowing for individualization through customizable names and appearances. Players can manage their companions via the Pip-Boy and issue specific commands, including follow, stay, attack, and protect. The update aims to integrate existing C.A.M.P. pets into this new system.
Additionally, Bethesda announced two new free Creations for Fallout 4: ‘FEVer Dreams’ by Kinggath, an escape-room style experience set in a pre-war military lab, and ‘Command Override’ by Hobgoblin Studios. Fallout Shelter will also receive a free Baby Deathclaw update later this year. Looking ahead, a new Fallout television series is slated for release on Prime Video on January 13, 2027.
