Bethesda's Fallout 76 reaches 25 million players

Bethesda Softworks has announced that Fallout 76 has reached a milestone of 25 million players. The announcement was made via the official Fallout account on X to celebrate Fallout Day.

As the game approaches its eighth anniversary, Bethesda has outlined a development roadmap extending through summer 2027. Upcoming content includes the 'World Pets' update in December, which allows pets to follow and fight alongside players, and the 'Hideouts' update in spring, which will introduce tougher bounty encampments and a new 'Marked' difficulty level.

Further long-term plans include a map expansion toward the Capital Wasteland featuring Raven Rock, set nearly 200 years before the events of Fallout 3. The game, an online prequel to the main series, originally launched in November 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
