Bethlehem Catholic High School damaged by fire in Saskatoon

A fire broke out at Bethlehem Catholic High School in Saskatoon on the night of August 7, 2026. The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to the scene around 10:30 p.m., reporting heavy smoke and large flames originating from a construction area attached to the school.

New portable classrooms were significantly damaged in the blaze, while other parts of the school sustained water and smoke damage. No individuals were inside the building at the time of the fire.

Fire investigators are currently working to determine the cause and origin of the blaze. While the school year is scheduled to begin on September 2 and 3, the school district has not yet decided if the incident will cause delays, pending further information from the fire department.
