Beti Grnçarovska disappearance remains unsolved after 19 years
Nineteen years after her disappearance, the mystery surrounding Beti Grnçarovska remains unsolved. The 38-year-old woman from Tetovo vanished on August 12, 2007, after traveling to Skopje.
Grnçarovska had reportedly sold her business in Tetovo and intended to start a new life in Split, Croatia. She left her home with five bags, one of which contained approximately 140,000 euros. Before departing, she informed her mother, Ratka Kolev, that a friend from Tetovo would meet her in Skopje. After taking a taxi, she called her family to confirm she had arrived in Skopje and was dropped off in front of the ‘Beverly Hills’ shopping center. This was her final communication.
The individual she was supposed to meet denied having any agreement to travel to Croatia with her and claimed ignorance regarding her disappearance. While her family believes she was kidnapped, official investigations have not yielded results, and her personal details remain listed on the Ministry of Internal Affairs' missing persons page.
