Betim Fest Gospel crowns winners, sets line‑up for Expo Betim Cristã

The final of the Betim Fest Gospel competition was held on 1 August at the Igreja Batista da Lagoinha in Monte Carmo Shopping, Betim, featuring six finalist bands. Ruah Worship secured first place with the songs “Reacende a Chama” and “Não Há Outro,” earning a R$ 5,000 prize and the opportunity to open singer Eli Soares’ concert on 8 August at the Expo Betim Cristã. Belém Music placed second, receiving R$ 3,000 and a slot to open singer Bruna Karla’s show on 7 August. Projeto Cristo finished third, winning R$ 2,000 and will lead the worship segment of the Marcha para Jesus during the expo.

The competition, part of a month‑long effort to promote local gospel music, attracted a full house and enthusiastic crowds. Municipal Secretary of Leisure and Tourism Jaime Thalles highlighted the event’s role in fostering faith‑based community gatherings and showcasing Betim’s musical talent. The Expo Betim Cristã, returning after a 14‑year hiatus, will feature additional religious programming, food‑drive entry requirements, and appearances by pastors Pedro Daniel and Marco Feliciano.
