Beto Lima presents Maranhão-themed art exhibition in São Luís

Artist Beto Lima has opened a new exhibition titled ‘Revoada dos guarás e outras cenas maranhenses’ at the Márcia Sandes Art Space in São Luís, Maranhão. The collection features 13 acrylic paintings created with a spatula technique.

The works focus on various aspects of Maranhão, including natural landscapes, local fauna, and scenes of daily life. A central theme is the ‘revoada dos guarás’ (the flight of scarlet ibises), a phenomenon the artist witnessed during his childhood in Araioses. Other paintings depict local workers, traditional boats, and regional characters.

The exhibition is open to the public until October 19, with visiting hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
