Betão nears automatic contract renewal with Náutico

Náutico defender Betão has revealed that he is close to triggering an automatic contract renewal clause with the club. During a press conference, the 27-year-old stated that his contract includes a provision for renewal if he reaches a specific percentage of matches played.

To activate the clause, Betão must participate in 60% of the team's matches, playing a minimum of 45 minutes in each. Since joining Náutico in March from Velo Clube, he has appeared in 19 games, starting 16 of them. Betão expressed satisfaction with his performance and his time at the club, noting that while the renewal is a matter of time, he is currently focused on upcoming matches.

He is expected to potentially return to the starting lineup for Náutico's upcoming Série B fixture against Botafogo-SP.
