Beto Ortiz defends Magaly Medina against calls to retire from TV

Journalist Beto Ortiz has defended television host Magaly Medina against calls for her to retire from the industry. The debate arose after journalist Rossmery Vargas suggested that Medina should step away from the screen to prioritize her mental health and peace, citing various ongoing legal processes involving public figures.

Ortiz argued that the decision to end a career is strictly personal and that no one else should dictate such a move. He highlighted Medina’s three-decade career in Peruvian television, noting the difficulty of maintaining a program for such a long period. Ortiz also noted that he personally ignores public opinions regarding his own career and appearance.
