Betoro Herreligaen: New name for Danish men's handball league

The Danish men's top handball league, Herreligaen, has officially changed its name to Betoro Herreligaen. This change follows a new three-year sponsorship agreement between Tophåndbold, Divisionsforeningen Håndbold, and the bookmaker Betoro.

Thomas Christensen, director of Tophåndbold, stated that the three-year duration of the deal provides stability and confirms the commercial interest in the sport following recent national and international successes in Danish men's handball.

In recent match action, Sønderjyske Herrehåndbold secured a 34-24 victory against Mors-Thy Håndbold. Despite an early lead by the home team, Sønderjyske took control in the first half and maintained dominance throughout the second. Viktor Bergholt contributed eight goals, while goalkeeper Thorsten Fries recorded 15 saves.
