Indonesia is facing a surge in child sexual abuse cases, prompting calls from lawmakers to strengthen prevention and protection systems. In Jakarta, several high-profile investigations are underway. The Polda Metro Jaya is handling a case in Palmerah involving the alleged abuse of a minor, where eight witnesses and two experts have been examined. Additionally, legal proceedings are advancing regarding allegations against singer Betrand Peto. The victim, identified as ANW, is seeking legal protection from the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), the National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan), and the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection.

In East Jakarta, a man was reportedly assaulted by a crowd after being accused of abusing minors at a minimarket. Meanwhile, Ruben Onsu has addressed public discourse regarding his family, stating he has never pressured his son, Betrand Peto, regarding religious beliefs.
