B’Tselem identifies five interconnected mechanisms driving this project: violence and intimidation by military and settler forces, movement restrictions through checkpoints and gates, economic strangulation, sociopolitical destruction, and ethnic cleansing through land seizure and displacement. The report notes that while these policies have long-standing roots, they have entered an accelerated phase since the Netanyahu government took power in late 2022, with further intensification following the October 2023 attacks.

The report highlights specific instances of impact, including the forced displacement of at least 75 Palestinian communities and the demolition of homes, such as in Khirbet al-Tabban, which left approximately 70 people without shelter. The Israeli military has rejected these accusations, calling them ‘false, baseless, and blatantly detached from reality.’
