Bettina Weniger-Assinger announces breast cancer diagnosis

Bettina Weniger-Assinger, a long-time Pink Ribbon ambassador, has publicly announced her breast cancer diagnosis. Speaking at the launch of Pink Ribbon Month in Vienna, the designer and entrepreneur shared her news to emphasize the critical importance of regular screenings and early detection.

Weniger-Assinger stated, “I now also belong to those who have received the diagnosis,” while urging women not to postpone medical examinations. She noted that earlier detection significantly improves treatment outcomes and chances of recovery.

The event also served to honor the memory of the late former Health Minister Andrea Kdolsky, who was a dedicated advocate for breast cancer prevention.
