Bettr and Muslim Pro launch Umrah financing in Malaysia

Bettr, a fintech provider under Ant International, has partnered with the Islamic lifestyle application Muslim Pro to launch an Umrah financing solution in Malaysia. The service is designed to help eligible Muslims manage pilgrimage costs by spreading payments over 12 to 24 months.

The financing utilizes a Tawarruq structure to ensure compliance with Islamic finance principles. Transactions are facilitated through AS-SIDQ, a digital commodity trading platform from SEDANIA As Salam Capital, and the structure has been endorsed by the consultancy Masryef Advisory Sdn. Bhd.

Through the Muslim Pro app, users in Malaysia can access various Umrah packages, ranging from standard to premium, which may include flights, accommodation, meals, and ground transportation. The initiative aims to support digital adoption and financial readiness within Muslim communities.
