Betty la Fea returns with original cast for new season

Prime Video will release the third season of the Colombian series 'Betty la Fea: La Historia Continúa', titled 'Betty la Fea: Más Fea Que Nunca', on August 28. The new season features the return of the original cast, led by Ana María Orozco and Jorge Enrique Abello, marking the first time the full ensemble has reunited since the original 1999 production.

Set in Bogotá, the plot follows Betty as she navigates new life developments, including starting psychological therapy and moving into her own apartment. The storyline involves a plagiarism scandal at the fictional company Ecomoda and a romantic conflict between her former partner, Armando, and a returning French suitor.

The previous season of the sequel set a global viewership record for a Latin American title on Prime Video and became the platform's most-watched series in Colombia. The original 'Yo Soy Betty, la Fea' was recognized by Guinness World Records as the most successful telenovela in television history, having been broadcast in over 180 countries.
