Betway Premiership: Orlando Pirates face Durban City amid relegation battles

Orlando Pirates are set to face Durban City at the Orlando Amstel Arena as they continue their Betway Premiership campaign. Following a 3-1 aggregate victory against Mauritian champions La Cure Waves in the CAF Champions League, the Buccaneers are looking to close the gap at the top of the standings, currently led by Mamelodi Sundowns.

Orlando Pirates remain one of only three unbeaten teams this season, having secured nine consecutive points since mid-August. The squad may see the return of winger Tshepang Moremi and Gamphani Lungu, following suspension and injury respectively.

At the other end of the table, the relegation battle is intensifying. Marumo Gallants currently sit at the bottom of the standings following the departure of coach Phuti Mohafe; Ronnie Kanalelo has since taken over the coaching role. Other clubs facing pressure include Siwelele and Richards Bay, both of whom remain winless this season, and newly promoted Kruger United, who currently occupy 13th place.
