Between Steps drama premieres as final work of director Ahn Pan-seok

The upcoming Korean drama series ‘Between Steps’ is set to premiere, marking the final work of the late director Ahn Pan-seok. Ahn, known for directing ‘Something in the Rain’ and ‘One Spring Night’, passed away on August 12, 2026, due to a brain hemorrhage.

Lead actress Kim So-hyun shared tributes to the director on social media, reflecting on her experiences filming the series. The drama stars Kim So-hyun as Im Yoo-jin, a graduate student seeking a new direction, and Choo Young-woo as Park Min-jae, a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness.

Newly released promotional stills depict the characters' first encounter, showing Park Min-jae assisting Im Yoo-jin after a fall. However, subsequent images suggest a shift in their relationship, showing a tense interaction in front of a police station. The production team describes the series as a story of young people navigating relatable yearnings.
