Beverly Afaglo funeral held in Accra with GH¢200,000 donation

Family, friends, and prominent figures from the Ghanaian entertainment industry gathered in Accra on Saturday, August 8, 2026, to hold funeral services for actress Beverly Afaglo. The ceremony, held at the Forecourt of the State House, was attended by various actors, government officials, and industry colleagues.

During the service, businessman Ibrahim Mahama donated GH¢200,000 to support the bereaved family with funeral arrangements. The late actress, who died on May 24, 2026, at the age of 42 after a two-year battle with cancer, was a significant figure in Ghana’s film industry with a career spanning over two decades.

Afaglo is survived by her husband, musician Eugene Baah (known as Choirmaster), and two children. The Ghana Actors Guild also paid tribute to her contributions to the industry. A thanksgiving service was held the following day at Action Chapel International.
