Lionsgate has released the first trailer for the horror film ‘Beware Boiúna’, directed by Mike P. Nelson. The movie is inspired by the Amazonian legend of the Boiúna and is set within the Brazilian rainforest.

The plot follows a medical team on a mission that inadvertently awakens a colossal, ancient predator. Rather than focusing solely on a giant monster, director Mike P. Nelson aims to create tension through a realistic representation of the creature as an unpredictable and deadly presence within the environment.

The film stars Logan Marshall-Green, Jessica Rothe, and Kiana Madeira. ‘Beware Boiúna’ is scheduled to premiere in United States theaters on October 2, 2026.
