Beyşehir plans international shooting range in Üzümlü

Beyşehir Mayor Adil Bayındır has announced plans to establish a new shooting range meeting international standards in the Üzümlü neighborhood within the next few years. The announcement followed a practical shooting competition organized by the IPSC Practical Shooting Sports Federation representative Mehmet Çeler.

The initiative aims to leverage the region's established expertise in the defense and firearms industry. Üzümlü and the neighboring Huğlu area are significant production hubs in Turkey, with local manufacturers producing approximately 850,000 firearms annually and generating over $140 million in exports. By developing international-standard facilities, local authorities hope to transform regional competitions into major international sporting events, further integrating the area's manufacturing heritage with global sports tourism.
